Tuna Melts
Drain tuna and mix with as much mayonnaise as seems good. (You can add spices like chives to the tuna if you like.) Cut the bagel in half so you have two flat rings. Put the bagel halves on a baking sheet, cut sides up. Put half the tuna on each and top with grated cheese. (You can put slices of tomato or sprouts or whatever vegetables seem good between the tuna and the cheese if you're craving vitamins.) Cook at 350°F for about 15 minutes or until the tuna is warm and the cheese is melty. If the bagels burn and the cheese isn't melty yet, try turning down the temperature. Serves one. Assume 1 bagel per person and up to about 1/4 cup of grated cheese per bagel half. |
