Steamed Vegetables and Accompaniments


Stovetop: Place vegetables in a steamer insert, put steamer insert in a saucepan with a little water in the bottom

Microwave: Place vegetables in a microwave-safe dish with a small quantity of water (frozen vegetables don't need any additional water), cover lightly (don't seal), and cook until hot and the texture you want. For green vegetables, bright green and slightly crunchy works well.


Asparagus: particularly good with Mustard Cream Sauce.
