- at least one 2-cup heatproof glass measuring cup

- small and medium/large covered saucepans
- a frying pan with a lid

- square (both 8x8 and 9x9 are good)
- rectangular (9x11 or 9x12 or 9x13)
- round (a set of at least 2 8" and 9" pans, depending on what cake you want to make)
- 12-cup muffin pan
- pie pan
- toaster
- utensils:
- masher
- spatula (compatible with your frying pan)
- bulb baster (for large roasts where the pastry brush really doesn't cut it)
- meat thermometer
