1loaf bread, sliced lengthwise and crusts cut off
Spreads
 spreadable cream cheese
 softened butter
 soft cheese
Fillings
 cucumber, sliced into long, thin strips
 nova smoked salmon
 shaved ham

See How the Bread Should Be Cut? to see what "sliced lengthwise and crusts cut off" means. The bread should be the soft, stretchy kind, and can be white or brown as long as it has good structural integrity.

For each slice of bread, layer one spread across the entire surface of the slice. Top with scant amounts of a filling. Roll the bread along the long axis, so the roll is the length of the short side. Stick down the seam with a little more spread. Cut the roll into slices, roughly 3/4" thick. Lay on platter and admire.
